hey frend,
could ratwires serverside rendering give different color for class, thereby outline color around the post element user is replying to?
it could be a somewhat partial solution for problem of users unintentionally replying to random threads or creating new ones.
something like nigger-glow-green or futaba-reply-pink or pastel-grapefruit-orange mite or be a fine color choices for the outline.

maybe [dev] could fuck around with 1s or so long css :hover transition / anim that does nothing but keeps the postbox open for a moment, so it doesnt disappear right when you move the cursor on browsers scrollbar. i of course i'm too lazy to add such a commit because i'm too lazy to do anything.

The rapidly increasing "30 million line problem" and the resulting non-feasabibility of horrible abstractions like Electron, which seem like temporary stiches marketed as "progress", and unmaintability of the bloated old propietary codebases will eat Glow in the Darks sooner or later alive. Rejoice!

Reply 587 2019-02-12 17:18:10 UTC

Here's what's going to happen.

The next generation of computers is going to get faster.

The programmers who only know how to work within a high level system are going to build a higher level system on top of it to fix the inadequacies of their current system since they can now "afford it".

Because of the new system, computers are now effectively just as slow as they were before.

New programmers will enter the field, or clueless programmers will get their hands on the new system, or older programmers will become complacent with the new system. Instead of coming at it from the context of what came before, they will have only that new system as a context. In working with the new system, they will doubtlessly encounter inadequacies, and only be able to think in terms of the new system in order to solve these problems.

writing personal timestamped post-schizo thoughts mostly in english (which is not my native language, but globalist kike invented lingua franca) in textfiles using solarized colors nvim on st is my favorite social network

Reply 552 2019-02-10 12:38:38 UTC

also, i should start reading some of that smartiepants lihtractur dey call novels and sheeit to expand my lexicon, and some stuff in my own language, because even a free flow of personal thoughts that helps putting priorities in right order becomes a tad mundane if i cannot reinvent ways of verbally expressing myself in 78 columns before 'rm ~/notes'

i periodically delete them because it's a blob of personal cringe for the purpose of getting it together.

one of the ''''wise'''' thoughts was a scribble that imageboards are a shitty feedback loop of passively absorbed autism and cynicism where one escapes by getting those dopamine kicks from scrolling through le fune memes just like in social media instead of finding and solving problems in personal life.
edgelordism and arguing about consumer goods for years is dum.
more extreme forms include instead of dealing with social issues, when anime isnt enough anymore, socially inept retards starting popping hrt and turning oneself in sex objects that will off itself in a decade.

i rember i had rss feeds in thousands where after 3h of consuming 95% useless information about linuks and retrocompooters and gayms i standed up and could not recall what i was reading, watching or listening less than a minute ago. that sort of trance state this shit induces, you'd think facebook, but imageboards are not an exception. being afraid of being bored. clearing and sorthing shit inside your head is necessary. but no, that blue tintend ips screen wont leave you alone, the hassle of turning it on and off / hibernating it again, rite..... YOU NEED TO BE BORED.

Reply 563 2019-02-10 20:04:34 UTC

btw i remember carlin had a decent thought on kids having a necessity simply to daydream for a good while for proper development, instead of being pushed to do socialization dumb crap and into distractions, but that applies to adults too.. whatever an 'adult' means in post-milleanialworld.

Firstly, drugs are harmful and bring nothing of value.
Secondly, your conciousness doesn't come from 'energy' it's comes from a soul, which yes, may well have components in the dimensions we cannot observe.

I went from a dishwasher to a computer programmer with the inspiration of psychedelics. It's not just me, people in general show long-term improvement from mushroom use and several psychedelics have shown therapeutic promise and even promise in creative fields. Psychedelics were suddenly made illegal by the U.S. government for social reasons as having no medical use despite being involved in countless promising studies at the time. I would not call that without value.

Psychedelics have been shown to be overwhelmingly non-harmful, both in their community impact since they are easy to produce if you know how, and to individuals since it is practically impossible to overdose. I would not call that harmful. Psychedelic drugs can be abused the same as any prescription medication. Their mental side effects are no different than suicide being a side effect of depression medication. They should not be taken by anyone with a family history of mental illness or anyone under at least 18, and if they could legally be prescribed by professionals they would essentially have the same amount of risk as any mental illness medication.

Also, legal drugs save peoples' lives every day. I don't believe that brings nothing of value either. All you're saying is that you draw the line exactly where the U.S. government draws the line.

i'm currently going through lenghty period in my mid-20s where i'm systematically pushing my body on smaller and smaller doses of benzodiazepenes every day to reduce tolerance to benzos and every other chemical base drug that is less harmful and less addicting so i eventually can drop the psychiatric crap alltogherer.

i overdosed on ebay bongland phenibut last week after 1.5 weeks of usage stupidly attempting to use it as a complete substitute/against withdrawals. my body cannot process it quickly enough, it accumulates, so overdose is inevitable. it's like thc but sucks dick because doesn't get processed nearly as quickly. however very small doses where i take ~1/6 or so contents of the capsule helps with rapidly reducing ammount of valium (as yanks call it) i'm taking. it's even a wonderful thing that after having dealth with xannie i no more have absolute tolerance to 'weaker' drugs, so things gradually are moving forward and i have pushed it through most of it while studying and not being a complete neet.

besides maus, u should listen to john's friend and original inspiration ariel to. guy is good at being borderline nsane.

john is definetly great on dem retrofuturism synths and melancholically fun lyrics (and was the only one who plainly stated that he has nothing to apologise about being featured in mde world peace, basically refused to be cucked by libshit jew media), but ariel is way more diverse and creative imo.
